Culpepper College Consulting provides highly personalized, strategic college admissions advising, with particular expertise in guiding track and field and cross country athletes toward collegiate athletic opportunities.

Shayne Culpepper brings extensive experience at the intersection of elite academics and competitive athletics.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where she competed as an NCAA Division I track and field athlete, earned All-American honors, and later represented the United States as an Olympian, Shayne went on to earn a master’s degree in school counseling. Her background as an elite athlete informs a deep understanding of the discipline, commitment, and long-term planning required for success at the highest levels.

Shayne is a Nationally Board Certified School Counselor and serves as a school counselor at one of Colorado’s most academically rigorous high schools, which consistently sends multiple students to Ivy League institutions each year.  In this role, she works closely with students and families throughout the college admissions process and has a comprehensive background on what colleges seek, both academically and athletically.

Her experience includes academic planning, application strategy, and essay development, along with guiding student-athletes through the complexities of NCAA recruiting. Shayne stays closely engaged with the evolving college track and field environment, offering families current insight into recruiting expectations and opportunities.

In addition to her professional experience, Shayne brings personal perspective as a parent. She and her husband have guided two sons through the college admissions and recruiting process, both landing at top Division I Universities.
